Diego Chilò was born in Thiene on 2 December 1957, and attended for some years the University Institute of Architecture of Venice. Since 1984, he has been working in the fields of construction and industrial design. In 2007, his project entitled Lapis was mentioned for the Innovation and Design Award at the LivinLuce EnerMotive of Milan. In 2013, Acqualuce, the lamp designed for Leucos, won the “Good Design Award Lighting” from the Chicago Athenaeum, whilst in 2015 his Timber project was one of the winners of the contest “Nourishing the future – energies from tradition” for the Expo 2015. His personal work has been published in several publication, including the monograph “Diego Chilò designer” (Idea s.r.l. 2005), the volume “Nel vetro c’è” (Editrice Compositori 2010) and the book “Design Maker” (List lab 2014). Several of his projects have been published in the most important sector-specific magazines.
